Henrico van Roekel is a Ph.D. candidate at the Utrecht School of Governance (Utrecht University, the Netherlands). He studies how various forms of leadership affect employee well-being, for example, empowering leadership or the use of behavioral insights in the workplace. Mostly, he applies experimental methods (e.g., field, survey, and natural experiments). His research has been published in various journals such as Behavioural Public Policy, Public Management Review, and Educational Research Review, and has been featured in international media outlets like Behavioral Scientist and Dutch media outlets like NRC and BNR. As a board member of the Dutch Association for Public Administration, he contributes to making public administration research accessible to the public.
